The GIRAFFE-BEAM Putter, known for its long-neck design and bold aesthetics, has now evolved into the “Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM Putter” with the integration of AI technology.

As the name “GIRAFFE” suggests, this new model also features a long vertical crank hosel, maintaining the defining characteristic of the previous version. While preserving the same level of rigidity, the new model achieves even greater weight reduction. The saved weight has been redistributed to the toe and heel, enhancing overall stability.

Now, paired with the Ai-ONE insert, replacing the traditional White Hot insert, the putter offers dramatically improved performance on off-center hits. This advanced insert combines with the redistributed weighting to deliver superior forgiveness and consistency.

Longer vertical section brings the center of gravity closer to face balance

The Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM Putter shares its core characteristic with the 2024 GIRAFFE-BEAM model — as the name suggests (GIRAFFE = giraffe), it features a long-neck design with an extended vertical crank hosel. This longer neck aligns the shaft axis more easily toward the center of the face, resulting in a center of gravity angle closer to face balance. This design is ideal for players who prefer a blade putter with a crank hosel but also want the feel of an automatic, straight stroke.

Neck achieves higher rigidity and lighter weight than before

The neck of the Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM is not just longer — it is also engineered for improved performance compared to its predecessor. While the previous model widened the vertical section and used an H-shaped cross-section (similar to building beams or columns) to balance rigidity and weight, the new model pushes this further by slimming the vertical part and adding a single groove on one side. This innovation maintains rigidity at the previous level while reducing weight even more. As a result, the putter effectively suppresses face twisting on off-center hits, and the neck remains lightweight compared to traditional crank necks. This makes it versatile for both blade and heavier, large mallet heads.

The weight saved by the redesigned neck is redistributed to the toe and heel areas of the head. Additionally, the hollow backside of the AI insert helps optimize weight distribution, increasing the moment of inertia beyond that of the previous model. Combined with the rigid long neck, this setup reduces the face’s opening and closing during off-center hits. According to Odyssey’s tests, the Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM putter reduces face twisting by 5.2% compared to the previous GIRAFFE-BEAM model.*

46.7% improvement in reduction of ball speed loss

The insert is another major update. While the previous model used the White Hot insert, the Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM features the Ai-ONE insert — well-known from the Ai-ONE putter series. This insert consists of a resin face layer with a complex aluminum pattern designed by AI on the back. Typically, a 1 cm off-center hit on the toe or heel reduces ball speed by about 20% (resulting in a 2 m short putt on a 10 m stroke). Thanks to the aluminum pattern, ball speed loss is limited to around 5% (only 50 cm short on a 10 m putt). When combined with the high-rigidity neck and high moment of inertia head, the reduction in ball speed loss due to off-center hits improves by 46.7% compared to the previous GIRAFFE-BEAM putter (Odyssey data). The insert color is now black, reducing contrast with the body at address for a cleaner look.

Copper finish reminiscent of giraffe’s body covers most of the body

Like the previous GIRAFFE-BEAM putter, this model features giraffe-inspired design details throughout. The logo includes a giraffe illustration, and the majority of the body sports a copper finish similar to a giraffe’s coat color. The sole is laser-engraved with giraffe patterns, the grip features a new Odyssey logo different from the previous model, and the headcover boasts luxurious embroidered giraffe motifs. The sole’s toe and heel areas include weights of about 10 g each (15 g for the #2 model). The head lineup includes four models: #2, DW, #7, and JAILBIRD MINI, all equipped with the all-steel STROKE LAB 90 shaft.
