The ODYSSEY CHIPPER is the successor to the X-ACT, released in 2021, and has undergone numerous improvements. The first major change in appearance is the neck shape. In the previous model, the neck was connected to the head at an angle, like the short slant neck of a putter, but the ODYSSEY CHIPPER now connects directly to the head, like a utility. This neck is easier to set up and makes it easier to visualize the trajectory and distance.

The face area has been increased, making it easier to hit the ball, and the shape of the face has also changed. When viewed from the face side, the top line and leading edge line of the previous model were parallel, but this time, like a utility club, the toe side of the top line is higher. This naturally increases the face area, making it easier to hit the ball.

The step sole design, like the ELYTE series, also highlights the effort to create a gentler feel. Like the fairway woods in the ELYTE series, the step sole design, which is one step higher at the back, prevents excessive rebound of the sole when it hits the ground and the resulting mishits. The head also provides excellent release, allowing for gentle, smooth strokes even from the rough around the green.

The ODYSSEY CHIPPER clubs are 34.5 inches long for men and 33.5 inches for women. The lineup also includes the ODYSSEY CHIPPER Women’s, which is 33.5 inches for female golfers. Both have a 37-degree loft setting. The face is fitted with a soft-feeling polymer insert, which makes it easy to control distance and creates a comfortable feel when hitting the ball. The flange at the rear of the head features three white alignment lines, making it easier to set up square to the target.
